Ohio State steady in Kirk Herbstreit’s latest top four

A look at Kirk Herbstreit’s top four teams in the country after another week of action in college football. Where is Ohio State?

In a week where three of the top four teams didn’t play, there wasn’t much movement in weekly rankings. That would include Kirk Herbstreit’s weekly personal picks of the top four teams in the land.

After not playing Maryland due to coronavirus concerns, Ohio State was steady in Herbie’s rankings coming in at the exact same spot as last week – No. 3. As a matter of fact, there was zero movement in Herbstreit’s list. Alabama stayed at No. 1, followed by Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Clemson.

Even the next two in (a nod to the college football playoff rankings) stayed the same with Florida and BYU unmoved in Herbstreit’s rankings.

This week, everyone in the former OSU quarterback and current ESPN analyst’s rankings are playing with the exception of Notre Dame, who has a bye week. But of those teams playing on Herbstreit’s list, only the Ohio State is playing a top-ten opponent. Might be time for Ohio State to move up that list with an impressive win of the ninth-ranked Indiana Hoosiers.
