Each week, we review the ESPN Power Rankings, and for several weeks, the Buckeyes have stayed steady at No. 3. After a tough game against an AP top-10 team, Indiana (they were ninth at the time), some thought they could drop a slot. However, ESPN kept the Buckeyes where they were.
There were no changes until the No. 9 slot formerly filled by Indiana. With the Hoosiers falling out of the top 10 (they are now No. 13), everyone else moved up a slot. Well, almost everyone, instead of Wisconsin moving up to No. 10, it lost to Northwestern, which took the Badgers’ place in the top 10 with the win.
The top 10 now looks like this:
1. Alabama
2. Notre Dame
3. Ohio State
4. Clemson
5. Texas A&M
6. Florida
7. BYU
8. Cincinnati
9. Miami
10. Northwestern

We’ll continue to keep an eye on where the worldwide leader continues to place Ohio State — but remember — what really matters is where the College Football Playoff Committee decides the Buckeyes belong Tuesday night.
