Ohio State overtakes Michigan in 2024 team recruiting rankings

Well, what do we have here Michigan chest thumpers? #GoBucks

Despite the chest-thumping and parades Michigan was ready to seemingly throw because of the success it has had during the 2024 recruiting cycle, the Wolverines have been surpassed by Ohio State in the team recruiting rankings. And the move is reflected by nearly all the recruiting services, not just one or two that we can cherry pick.

With the commitment of four-star linebacker, Payton Pierce, out of Lucas, Texas, the Buckeyes have 10 commitments in the class and have vaulted to No. 2, according to the 247Sports team composite, one spot ahead of — ahem — Michigan, which has one more commitment, but a lower per-star rating.

And Ohio State doesn’t appear done either. The Buckeyes are in the running for other blue-chip prospects that have them on pace to have one whale of a recruiting class.

So, upon further review, if you are keeping track, it doesn’t appear as though the Buckeyes are falling apart as claimed by former Michigan wide receiver Braylon Edwards.

We’ll continue to stay on top of all the recruiting news as things because we may very likely be hearing some more BOOMs! emanating from the Woody Hayes Athletic Center around the annual spring game.
