Ohio State opens as big favorite over Michigan State Saturday

Ohio State has opened as a significant favorite per BetMGM as it hopefully prepares to travel to East Lansing to take on Michigan State.

We’re still waiting to see what the status of the game is this Saturday between Ohio State and Michigan State, but that doesn’t stop the gambling odds and lines from coming out.

And, according to the popular BetMGM Sportsbook , the Buckeyes are a -21.5 point favorite over the Spartans at the initial setting of the odds. That could of course change throughout the week as we find out any news on if the game will be played, and who might be missing from the OSU sideline, but for now, that makes for a hefty road favorite.

Ohio State sits at 4-0 and on top of the Big Ten East Division, while Michigan State is just 2-4, albeit with a little momentum because of the way it knocked Northwestern from the ranks of the unbeaten Saturday.

The Buckeyes desperately need to play this Saturday and next weekend to get to the magic six games needed to play in the Big Ten Championship Game and bolster their resume towards a College Football Playoff selection.

We’ll keep an eye on this line and on the status of the game Saturday as it happens. For now, keep the faith and keep with the well-wishes of the players, coaches, and staff members dealing with a positive coronavirus result at OSU.
