The Ohio State football regular season has officially ended and we got our first entry into the transfer portal Monday night in former four-star linebacker, Gabe Powers. The Marysville, Ohio, product failed to see much time this season other than on special teams, but when he was on the field, he showed well.
Powers has tallied five tackles and one interception this season and with two years of eligibility remaining wants to find a place to play more. His lack of playing time can mainly be attributed to seasoned veterans in front of him, but when he did get time, he seemingly played mistake-free football.
As a former four-star prospect standing at 6-foot, 4-inches and 230 pounds, Powers has the ideal size and athleticism to play and make an impact for a Big Ten rival. Powers won’t be the only player entering the portal and we wish him good luck at his next landing spot.
