Ohio State included in Joel Klatt’s new college football week 3 top ten

FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt released his new top ten in college football after week three, and Ohio State is near the top.

FOX College Football’s Joel Klatt is no stranger to Ohio State football. He was on the call all of last season as the Buckeyes often appeared as the featured Big Noon Kickoff Game of the Week last season. He and play-by-play guy Gus Johnson are the A-team that comes to your television set or streaming device for each of those noon window games, so he’s seen OSU a ton.

Aside for this year of course as the Big ten sits on the sidelines waiting for the season to start in late October. Still, that hasn’t stopped Klatt from including whatever teams he believes are the best in the country whether they have played a game or not.

Klatt updated his most recent top ten after last week’s games and has Ohio State firmly in the top five at No. 2 overall, behind only Clemson, and just ahead of Alabama at No. 3.

Here’s the tweet Klatt shared on Twitter that reveals his complete top ten after a few big upsets that have shaken things up.

It’s refreshing to see a media member include teams that are eligible for the season even if they haven’t played. Others — even ones that vote in the major polls — have left Big Ten and Pac-12 teams out because they haven’t played a game yet.

We’ve always liked Klatt. Now we know why.
