Black stripe alert! Freshman receiver Caleb Burton shed his black stripe and was officially welcomed to the brotherhood on Tuesday.
Burton came to Ohio State as a four-star recruit from Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. At one point, Burton was considered a five-star prospect and some had him as the No. 1 overall receiver in the 2022 class. An injury during the 2020 season dropped his ranking. He was the No. 21 ranked receiver in the 2022 class according to the 247Sports composite.
With such a deep receiving unit, Burton did not see any action during the 2022 regular season.
