Ohio State football rewarded bettors Wednesday evening as the Buckeyes hammered home a sizable victory over the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl from Pasadena, CA.
Ohio State, which started the game up 31-0 midway through the second quarter, ended up winning by 20, a final score of 41-21. The Buckeyes closed as a 2.5-point favorite with a point total of 54.5 in the game.
They cleared that by a long shot and are now a 6.5-point favorite against Texas, which defeated Arizona State in its quarterfinal battle, in the College Football Playoff semifinal.
The opening spread was 4.5 in favor of the Buckeyes.
The game, which will be aired on ESPN on January 10, is from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, so there will be a slight home-field advantage for the Buckeyes opponent.
Nonetheless, here’s how the line opened and has now moved following the initial round of bets being placed.

The Buckeyes looked dominant on all sides of the ball in the first half and continued into the second half against Oregon, clearly taking some air out of the game and just grinding the clock down.
Let’s hope Ohio State has a repeat performance in the semifinal and continues to throttle its opponents.
