It might not have been an all-timer of a class in terms of sheer numbers this year, but the Ohio State football program still saw several former players get selected in the 2022 NFL draft. It’s history repeating itself. Players make unbelievable plays in Columbus for a few years, get awards and trophies, and then get drafted. Rinse and repeat.
That’s fun in itself, but it doesn’t become official until the drafted players sign their rookie contracts for one whale of a payday. Sometimes it happens pretty quickly, and other times there is a lot of back and forth in negotiations before the ink dries.
We like to keep track of the former Ohio State players as they sign those contracts on a momentous occasion, and that’s exactly what we’re doing this year too.
