Ohio State football misses on 4-star recruit

Ohio State football misses on four-star recruit #GoBucks

Ohio State football has been working hard on the recruiting trail, but has fallen short in regard to the recruitment of one four-star stud. Mikkel Skinner is a four-star tight end from the state of South Carolina in the class of 2025 and narrowed his commitment decision down to four schools.

In addition to the Buckeyes, Skinner was considering, the Georgia Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats and the South Carolina Gamecocks. Although some thought OSU would be the choice, the future star announced his intentions to play for Kentucky.

Standing at 6-foot, 3-inches and 220 pounds, it is easy to see why so many schools view him as a potential star and missing out on this weapon does hurt the Ohio State recruiting class. The consensus top 15 tight end in the class mentioned the Wildcat coaching staff as a big reason for his commitment. One of the more obvious reasons he may not have chosen OSU though is he made it clear, he is interested in playing early, which was likely not going to happen in Columbus.
