Despite its long history of playing college football. Ohio State has yet to play 39 FBS programs. Some are surprising. Here’s the list.

Conference USA

Charlotte

FIU

Louisiana Tech

Middle Tennessee

North Texas

Old Dominion

Southern Miss

UTEP

UTSA

Western Kentucky*

Ohio State has actually only played four teams from Conference USA (Rice, UAB, Marshall, and Florida Atlantic). It’s not all that surprising because there’s no geographical link, and there’s really no benefit to playing a non-Power Five school from outside of the region other than to fill out a schedule.
