Ohio State football extends offer to key Class of 2025 defensive back

Ohio State football has offered Class of 2025 defensive back Jordyn Woods in an attempt to bolster their secondary in the coming years.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are one of the best teams in the country, but they are still scouting and offering at a high level, ensuring they don’t miss out on any potential prospects.

One of the most recent recruits that they are targeting is defensive back Jordyn Woods.

Woods committed to Cincinnati on June 25, 2024, but the Buckeyes clearly think they have a chance to flip that and/or are wanting to plan for the future with the prevalence of the transfer portal.

Woods ranks as a three-star recruit in the Class of 2025 and is the 95th-ranked cornerback and the 117th-ranked player out of the state of Georgia. He had offers from Virginia, Boston College and Michigan State.

“I had a feeling they were going to offer, but I didn’t know for sure. It was exciting when they did, being committed to Cincinnati and then getting an offer from Ohio State and the Big Ten,” Woods said via 247Sports Bill Kurelic.

Woods currently players at Cartersville. He now has an official visit set to take a trip to Columbus per Kurelic.

The Buckeyes have a plethora of talented cornerbacks already committed to the class with the No. 1 overall corner in Devin Sanchez and the No. 2 corner in Na’eem Offord.
