It has been a while since the [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] cornerbacks brought a certain amount of swagger to their play, but it seems like it is on it’s way back.
Although [autotag]Davison Igbinosun[/autotag] didn’t sign with the Buckeyes, he transferred in, his first preseason camp looks like it’s going very well. He was named as the Silver Bullet of the Day after the second practice, and today he told the media that he has been splitting rep wins against all-world wide receiver [autotag]Marvin Harrison Jr.[/autotag] at a 50/50 clip.
That is a welcome sight after what transpired last season with the unit, not registering an interception and seemingly getting burned more than a few times a game with costly penalties sprinkled in.
Of course, this is Igbinosun’s opinion and we have a feeling “marvelous Marvin” might have something to say about that, but it sounds like he’s at least holding his own.

"I can check Marvin," he said. "He's the best receiver in the county… but me and him go at it."
Igbinosun said he and Harrison have split one-on-one matchup wins "50-50."

Igbinosun was a Freshman All-American at Ole Miss, registering 36 total tackles while breaking up 5 passes. He didn’t record an interception during his lone season with the Rebels and hopefully that changes this fall.

Confidence in a cornerback is a trait you can’t teach and it looks like Igbinosun has plenty of it. This could be the beginning of the return of BIA (Best in America).
