All the noise around the Ohio State football program has been around the 2021 quarterback battle and rightfully so. It should not be forgotten that the future of the program might possibly still be in high school.
There is a five-star gunslinger out of Texas that is making waves and has been named by some as the best high school quarterback in recent memory. Ohio State commit Quinn Ewers made yet another splash over the weekend when he was given Alpha Dog honors by 247Sports for his outstanding play in the Elite 11 Dallas Regional Camp.
Ewers has many of the traits that Ryan Day and the Ohio State staff look for in an elite quarterback with perfect velocity to spray the ball all over the field, the ability to throw the football from various angles and the athleticism to get himself out of trouble. It will be interesting to keep an eye on Ewers during his senior season.
Quinn Ewers is one of the best quarterbacks I’ve seen at the high school level in the past decade.
