Ohio State basketball to start the season against Memphis in Crosstown Classic

The Ohio State basketball team will get its 2020-2021 season started against Memphis in the Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

We now know when and who the Ohio State basketball team will play to break the seal on the 2020-2021 season. In an event that is being called the Bad Boy Mowers Cross Over Classic, the Buckeyes will get a first-round matchup with Memphis. The game will be televised by ESPN at 2 PM EDT on November 25.

The tournament, scheduled to take place from November 25-27, is the reboot of what was originally supposed to be the Battle 4 Atlantis that was moved to The Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota because of the coronavirus pandemic. Seven of the eight original teams are still scheduled to take part in the event, with Duke the only team being replaced by way of the Dayton Flyers.

After the first game, the Buckeyes will face either West Virginia or Texas A&M depending on the winner and loser of each matchup. The other teams still taking part in the event include Utah, Wichita State, and Creighton.
