Notre Dame has been waiting for its first 2025 commit. Hopefully, that wait won’t last much longer.
Dante Allen, a four-star guard recruit in the 2025 class at Montverde Academy in Florida, has narrowed down his list to four schools. Luckily for the Irish, they made the cut.
A couple of things are worth noting here. In May, it was reported that Notre Dame and Villanova were two of the four schools Allen was most in contact with. Since then, Syracuse and Marquette clearly have been replaced by a pair of SEC schools.
The other thing to point out is you’ll notice that the Irish apparently are the only program not to even be scheduling an official visit with Allen at this point. It makes you wonder just how good the Irish’s chances are at landing him.

Allen is the 14th-ranked 2025 recruit in the state of Florida and is ranked 81st nationally per 247Sports Composite Rankings. Here’s hoping [autotag]Micah Shrewsberry[/autotag] and his staff are able to get him.
