Notre Dame gameballs for 52-0 win over South Florida

Who were the best players on the field in Notre Dame’s 52-0 win over South Florida? The Fighting Irish Wire staff shares their game balls

Nick Shepkowski:

Offense – Tommy Tremble

What Mike said about the offensive line is true and what Geoffrey pointed out about any player scoring three touchdowns is also obviously noteworthy.  There could be several deserving gameballs for the offense this week but give mine to tight end Tommy Tremble who only had one reception for 24 yards in the first half, but seemingly was a lead blocker and every big run the Irish had.  He was a mauler in the run game and deserves praise for his performance.

Defense – Jack Kiser

Clarence Lewis is a great choice as well here as the young defensive back stepped in and didn’t at all look young.  I’ll go with the guy we had no idea would be playing though in linebacker Jack Kiser who played fast, found himself in favorable situations, made a few sure tackles and didn’t at all look out of place.  It may have been just South Florida this week but Kiser earned more looks for playing time with his performance today.
