Notre Dame beats Georgia Tech: Game balls for Irish

In yet another dominating game by Notre Dame’s defense, one player shined brighter than all others as the Irish moved to 6-0.

Geoffrey Clark Game Ball Awards for Notre Dame-Georgia Tech:

Offensive: Kyren Williams
No, Williams didn’t rush for 100 yards this time, but he was the star on a day the Irish often struggled to find one. He scored two touchdowns, but more importantly, he stepped up like the true leader of the offense that he is. He’ll probably be a little disappointed that he didn’t get the ball as much. At the same, he’s surely happy to share some of the wealth with C’Bo Flemister.
Defensive: Daelin Hayes
Hayes sacked Jeff Sims twice, which typically would be enough to earn this ball. However, it was the strip sack on Georgia Tech’s first possession of the third quarter that practically the Yellow Jackets’ hopes for an upset. He also recorded four tackles and assisted on one. The captain has not been the unit’s most productive player this season, so this game definitely will go on his highlight reel.
