No. 7 Vols record seventh game holding opponent under 33 percent shooting.

No. 7 Tennessee (8-1) defeated Eastern Kentucky (4-5), 84-49, Wednesday at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Vols led, 32-21, at halftime. Five Tennessee players recorded 10-plus points against the Colonels.

Tyreke Key led Tennessee with 17 points, while Julian Philips posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Zakai Zeigler and Uros Plavsic each scored 13 points for the Vols. Olivier Nkamhoua finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Zeigler also recorded six points and five assists for Tennessee.

Santiago Vescovi missed his second consecutive game with a shoulder injury.

The Vols will play Maryland Sunday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York Sunday.

Tipoff for the Hall of Fame Invitational is slated for 4:30 p.m. EST (Fox Sports 1).
