No. 5 Tennessee (12-4, 2-1 SEC) defeated Georgia (12-4, 2-1 SEC), 85-79, Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia.
Tennessee ended Georgia’s 10-game winning streak.
The Vols led, 42-37, at halftime after leading by as many as 14 points in the first-half. Georgia led by 11 points during the second-half.
Dalton Knecht scored a game-high 36 points, including 21 in the second-half for Tennessee. He also recorded four rebounds and three assists.
Zakai Zeigler totaled 18 points, five rebounds and three assists for Tennessee, while Jonas Aidoo totaled 10 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks, three assists and one steal.
Jabri-Abdur Rahim led Georgia with 21 points, while RJ Melendez and Silas Demary Jr. totaled 13 points each.
