On Ime Udoka’s return to Boston with the Houston Rockets

The Celtics will need to respect their opponent to be sure their home streak doesn’t end tonight.

Fresh off a painful loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, the Boston Celtics will go head-to-head with the new team of their former head coach Ime Udoka, who now helms the Houston Rockets. It will be on their own home court as Boston has a chance of extending its historic home win streak of 18 consecutive wins, so there will be some extra stakes in an otherwise mundane midseason tilt.

The Rockets are not the lottery-bound ball club of the past under Udoka, however, with the team in the thick of the mix for a play-in tournament spot at present and within striking distance of a regular playoff spot. The Celtics will need to respect their opponent to be sure their home streak doesn’t end tonight.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “The Big 3 NBA” Podcast took some time on their most recent episode to preview the meeting.
