No. 21 Texas holds on to defeat UTSA, 41-20, behind strong second-half performance

Here’s a look at the best photos from Texas’ 41-20 win over UTSA.

No. 21 Texas started slowly against an up-and-coming UTSA squad on Saturday evening.

The Roadrunners were tied with the Longhorns, 17-17, at halftime, but Texas produced a dominant second-half performance to win, 41-20.

Texas running back Bijan Robinson finished with 183 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 20 carries. His 78-yard touchdown run in the third quarter is the longest of his collegiate career.

As expected, backup running back Roschon Johnson played a key role and finished with 104 total yards and one touchdown.

Quarterback Hudson Card provided another gritty performance while notably dealing with a high ankle sprain. He provided several timely throws and broke the game open in the second half with the key scramble.

Jordan Whittington led the team in receiving with four receptions for 56 yards. On the defensive side, Texas forced three punts, one pick six and two turnovers on downs in the second half.

The Longhorns hope the absurd targeting call on DeMarvion Overshown will be overturned by the Big 12 and he will not be required to miss time against Texas Tech next weekend.
