Tennessee pulled to within, 8-2, in the third inning when Mackenzie Donihoo scored as McKenna Gibson grounded into a double play.
The Lady Vols scored three runs in the sixth inning. Gibson hit a solo home run and Katie Taylor hit an RBI double. Taylor scored the final run of the game on a single by Donihoo.
Gibson went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored.
Karlyn Pickens (7-4) pitched one inning. She allowed three hits, eight runs (seven earned) and four walks.
Charli Orsini pitched one inning and surrendered one hit for Tennessee. She recorded one strikeout.
Payton Gotshall pitched 3.1 innings, allowing two hits, while recording four strikeouts.
