No. 2 seed LSU women’s basketball to face No. 7 seed Auburn in SEC Tournament opener Friday

LSU and Auburn will have a rubber match in the SEC quarterfinals on Friday evening.

LSU arrived in Greenville, South Carolina, earlier this week as the No. 2 seed at the 2024 Women’s SEC Tournament, and now it knows who it will face in its opening matchup at the quarterfinals on Friday.

The Tigers will draw No. 7-seeded Auburn after it took down No. 10-seeded Arkansas 67-48 in its second-round matchup on Saturday. This will be the third matchup between the two teams this season as they split the regular season series, with each team winning at home.

LSU won the most recent matchup in Baton Rouge, and it will be hoping for a similar result as it seeks an SEC title. The game will take place at 5 p.m. CT in Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville.
