Notre Dame’s Quarterback Advantage vs. Boston College
After a somewhat quick start from Boston College you’d have thought that the Eagles were being led by Tom Brady based off the way he was being discussed by the ABC broadcast.
I get story lines and selling the game you’re showing but give me a break.
Phil Jurkovec is a very talented quarterback and a few of the throws he made after escaping heavy pressure Saturday were incredible. However, don’t get it twisted or confused. Notre Dame had a significant advantage at quarterback on Saturday and the guy that gave them the best chance at winning big in 2020 is the starting quarterback.
I don’t type that as a knock on Jurkovec. The young man wanted to play and knew it wasn’t going to happen as long as Book was there.
It leaves questions to Notre Dame’s quarterback situation in 2021, sure, but Saturday was just a small sample of the Irish offense functioning at a high level under Book, something a few tried to present as impossible the second Jurkovec entered the transfer portal.
