Former Northern Colorado small forward Dalton Knecht announced his commitment to Tennessee on Friday.

The 6-foot-6, 200-pound forward is from Thornton, Colorado. He is the No. 1 small forward in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports.

Knecht averaged 20.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 47.9% last season. He was named second-team Big Sky All-Conference and earned second-team NABC All-District honors.

He played two seasons at Northeastern Junior College before signing with Northern Colorado. In 2020, Knecht earned first-team NJCAA All-American honors after averaging 23.9 points per game.

As a freshman, Knecht earned Region IX All-Region honors after leading Northeastern to the NJCAA Region IX regular season title.

Knecht is the third transfer portal addition for the Vols. USC Upstate guard Jordan Gainey and Harvard forward Chris Ledlum have also committed to Tennessee.
