No. 1 offensive tackle in 2024 class set to visit Texas this month

Elite OT Brandon Baker is also rated the No. 1 overall recruit in California, according to 247Sports.

Texas is gearing up to host a slew of talented 2024 recruits on campus this month.

Arguably the most notable is five-star offensive tackle Brandon Baker. The Mater Dei product is rated the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation for the 2024 recruiting class and the top overall prospect in California, according to 247Sports.

Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports recently released Baker’s visit schedule for the month of April. The Longhorns will receive a visit from the elite prospect on April 15.

Baker will also visit Michigan, Florida State, Georgia, Nebraska, and Oregon throughout the month. According to On3’s recruiting prediction machine, the Ducks appear to be the heavy leader in his recruitment at the moment.

“(Baker) projects as a potential multi-year high-major starter with an eventual ceiling that could lead to NFL Draft early-round candidacy,” said 247Sports national scouting analyst Gabe Brooks.
