In the fictional world of Apple TV+’s hit show, Ted Lasso, AFC Richmond is fresh off promotion to the Premier League. And now the Greyhounds will look the part.
Just as the Premier League and Apple recently reached a $680,000 licensing agreement to bring more Premiership realism into the Emmy-winning series, Nike is replacing the fictional Verani Sports as the kit supplier for AFC Richmond in the show’s third season.
Nike’s official Twitter account made the announcement on Monday — just a few days after production for Season 3 started in London — by sharing a photo of AFC Richmond’s jersey with the Nike swoosh.

In real life, Nike is the kit supplier for some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham. The mid-table Brighton also wears Nike. But at the very least, this probably means that an upgrade in AFC Richmond merchandise will be on the horizon.
Just believe it.
So proud to have @Nike as our new official kit supplier. https://t.co/nxoJm2qZHt

This kit announcement marks an important milestone I never dreamed would happen: me using “kit” correctly in a sentence. https://t.co/uIkNnU5OW7
