I get that some lose interest and consider all things a failure once the CFP is out of the picture. You can’t simply compare everything to the Leahy, Ara or Holtz days, however.

Maybe it’s because of that but to me chasing 10 wins is still a huge accomplishment, as are going to a potential New Year’s Six Bowl Game and possibly ending the streak of not winning a major bowl game since January 1, 1994 means something to me, even if it isn’t the ultimate end-result Notre Dame fans desire so greatly.
