Nick Saban is often praised as one of the greatest football coaches of all time. One of the things that set’s him apart from the rest is his inability to be content with what his team does until the final game of the season has been won and the team brings home a championship.
Saban hates losing more than he likes winning. So, if there’s ever a sign that his team is not longing to win, he lets them hear it.
The other day, Saban spoke to the media and explained that he was not happy with his team’s lack of intensity in the team’s win against Miami, and has been disappointed in his team’s effort at practice this week as the top team in the nation prepares for FCS opponent, Mercer.
Gary Harris of WVUA shared a clip of Saban’s press conference, where he says the team must prove to themselves, him and the rest of the nation that they are able to play with intensity for a full 60 minutes.
Following practice on Wednesday, Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban made it clear he isn't pleased with what he's seen from the squad this week. You have to love his intensity! @wvua23 @Tide1009 #RollTide pic.twitter.com/jsWmFzdmor
