Nick Saban named to the prestigious Dodd Trophy preseason watch list!

On Thursday, it was announced that Alabama’s [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] had been named to the Dodd Trophy preseason watch list.

The Dodd Trophy celebrates the head coach of a team who not only enjoys success on the field, but also emphasizes the importance of scholarship, leadership, and integrity, the three pillars of legendary Georgia Tech coach Bobby Dodd’s coaching philosophy. The award considers each program’s graduation rate, Graduation Success Rate, commitment to service and charity in the community, projected success for the 2023 season, and Academic Progress Rate.

Coach Saban previously won the prestigious award in 2014 and was the last coach from the SEC to take home the honor.

Arkansas’s Sam Pittman is the only other SEC coach to land on the Dodd Trophy preseason watch list.
