Last year, NFL.com’s Adam Rank predicted that the Denver Broncos would go 2-14 and secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Denver ended up finishing the year with a 7-9 record and Rank received plenty of flak from Broncos fans on social media.
This year, Rank has completely flipped his prediction. Rank has predicted the Broncos will go 11-5 and finish in first place in the AFC West, above the 2019 Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Rank isn’t the first member of the national media to predict a division title for the Broncos this offseason. Last week, Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports predicted that Denver could defeat Kansas City to win the AFC West.
“You know in the NFL, somebody’s going to win a division and we’re going to be shocked. Don’t be shocked if Denver beats Kansas City,” Cowherd said before saying the Broncos could win as many as 12 games in 2020.
