NFL.com lists Vikings’ biggest draft needs

As always with the Vikings, it starts with the offensive line.

The Vikings have some work to do in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Dan Parr over at NFL.com lists each team’s top needs heading into the draft and the Vikings’ list includes: Offensive line, edge, safety, linebacker and quarterback.

Here’s what Parr wrote about the Vikings:

It’s painfully obvious that the Vikings have to prioritize left tackle in the 2021 NFL Draft, and Mike Zimmer’s defense could use a boost at every level after a nightmarish 2020 campaign.

If the Vikings can somehow exit the draft with a stud offensive lineman, that would be a huge win for Rick Spielman. The other positions are really less of a concern at this point. You’d like to add depth all around, especially at edge opposite Danielle Hunter. The Vikings did a nice job addressing the defensive backfield in free agency. As for quarterback, while drafting one in the middle of the draft would be nice, Cousins is still due $56 million over the next two seasons.
