NFL scouts comparing Emeka Egbuka to superstar NFL receiver

Ohio State football has churned out some superstar NFL wide receivers, and Emeka Egubka could be up next if scouts are right.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have consistently produced elite NFL talent at a few positions, but none more notable than at wide receiver. Players like Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Thomas, Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson spent their college careers in Columbus.

Jeremiah Smith is expected to be in that conversation. One name not getting nearly enough attention is Emeka Egbuka, who, if including bowl stats, is 66 yards away from breaking the all-time receiving record for the Buckeyes.

Egbuka, per NFL Rookie Watch, is reminding NFL scouts of Lions superstar receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The tweet notes that Egbuka could be the best receiver in the class and could be a first-round pick if he has a strong performance against Oregon.

With the Buckeyes already having played Oregon, losing 32-31 on the road on October 12, one could expect a similar performance from the star receiver. He had 10 receptions for 93 yards and a score against Oregon in the first match.

Let’s hope he repeats that performance and again shows why the Buckeyes can both recruit and develop the best receivers in the world.
