Despite the NFL’s best efforts recently to curb more outbreaks of COVID-19 within clubs, the league has had two more teams pop up this week with new positive cases.
On Thursday, a Falcons assistant coach tested positive for coronavirus. Per Falcons Wire, the positive case came from an assistant coach. But since then on Friday, the Falcons had reported that no new positive results have come about.
But going hand-in-hand with that good news was some more bad news.
The Colts have now had several positive COVID-19 test results on Friday, per Colts Wire. A big difference is found here, though. Of those positive results, players are involved.
As of now, the Colts’ upcoming game against the Bengals is still set to kickoff. The Colts have closed their team facility and are working remotely as of now, much like the Titans had to do for an extended period before facing the Bills last week.
The Bills’ upcoming schedule this season does not involve either the Colts or Falcons at this point. Still, it’s important to all teams that the NFL does get their COVID situation under control.
