6. Los Angeles Chargers: Oregon QB Justin Herbert
The Chargers moved on from Philip Rivers so they’re getting a quarterback. A potential surprise? They could target someone like Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts later on and take a tackle here.
7. Carolina Panthers: Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons
Luke Kuechly retired. The Panthers replace him with the uber-athletic Simmons.
8. Arizona Cardinals: Iowa OT Tristan Wirfs
With all the impact defensive players off the board, the question here is offensive line or receiver. Because the tackle talent thins out quickly and the receiver talent is incredible in this draft, the Cardinals get the most athletic tackle of the draft.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars: South Carolina DL Javon Kinlaw
Many think Auburn’s Derrick Brown will be the first defensive lineman taken. His combine testing puts that in doubt and Kinlaw offers more pass-rushing ability. Jacksonville needs to rebuild the defense and Kinlaw is a good start.
10. Cleveland Browns: Louisville OT Mekhi Becton
The Browns have to go with an offensive lineman and they get their choice of Becton or Andrew Thomas of Georgia. They go with the bigger guy.
