Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL won’t be able to pull off the typical pre-draft process.
In fact, the 2021 NFL scouting combine won’t even take place in Indianapolis this year. The NFL informed teams on Monday that the entire evaluation process will be taken place remotely on college campuses. It’s unclear whether team representatives will be able to attend the workouts, or if they will have to rely on video.
The typical scouting combine is a week-long showcase that takes place in February. It’s a chance for college football players to perform physical and mental tests in front of NFL coaches, general managers, and scouts.

Texas will likely have several players selected within the first two days of the 2021 NFL Draft. Left tackle Samuel Cosmi is expected to be taken off of the board first, with edge rusher Joseph Ossai and safety Caden Sterns close behind.
Wide receiver Brennan Eagles, safety Chris Brown, and defensive lineman Ta’Quon Graham each have a chance of being drafted within the later rounds.
