NFL fans had jokes for Kyle Shanahan’s super dark comment about Jimmy Garoppolo’s status

With the NFL draft quickly approaching, many eyes around the league will be focused on the San Francisco 49ers.

The Niners traded up for the third pick and will almost certainly select a quarterback with that pick — reports have them between Mac Jones and Trey Lance.

But even as all the quarterback rumors swirl, the Niners still have an expensive quarterback on roster in Jimmy Garoppolo. And sure, it’s clear that Garoppolo is no longer the Niners’ longterm plans. But it was fair to ask Kyle Shanahan just how not in their plans Garoppolo looks to be.

That was when Shanahan’s take on the situation got, uh, pretty dark.

I hope his outlook is better than that!
