The Bills won their first AFC East title in 25 years in 2020. One study thinks it won’t be another quarter-century for the next one.
NFL.com analytics expert Cynthia Frelund released win-loss projection findings this week following the league releasing team schedules on Wednesday. For the Bills, it was a welcomed estimation.
Per the findings, 11.1 wins is enough to give the Bills the estimated AFC East title again:
The Bills’ Week 5 meeting with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs and their Week 14 matchup with Tom Brady and the Bucs are both going to be really exciting, very probable playoff previews. (These games could also be a sneak peek of that other thing, which I won’t jinx by naming; let’s just say it features one playoff team from each conference.)
In 2020, the Bills won 13 games. Still, that 11.1 figure is still very solid for Buffalo. The only team to have a higher projected win total in the AFC overall is the Chiefs as the Bills have the second-highest number in the conference.
