NFL analyst believes “four to five Teams” could trade up for a qb in NFL draft

The 2024 NFL draft could see plenty of movement in the first round.

Every single year analysts and fans have their eyes set on the most important position in sports come draft time, this year is no different with one of the deepest quarterback classes we have seen since…last year. With the next class not as expected to be quite as strong many teams could be contemplating launching themselves up the draft board and landing their next signal caller.

Seeing how good this years crop of quarterbacks is, NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah sees a flurry of teams could potentially explore moving up in this class.

“I believe we’ll see 4-5 teams look into moving up for a QB over the next few months. Teams aren’t excited about next year’s QB class,” Jeremiah posted on social media.

There is certainly something to the notion given just how many quarterback-needy teams sit in the middle of the class. From the New York Giants, who may or may not have contract regret from their current QB, to the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos who both are likely ready to move on from their 35-year-old offensive leaders.

It’s a problem of “too many mouths to feed” when it comes to the position in general, but in this class where there are truly three elite quarterback prospects potentially already going to the top three teams in the draft, it’s hard to find the wiggle room for the others. Could the draft stock of the likes of J.J. McCarthy or Michael Penix Jr. be launched into first-round conversation from desperation? We will find out come draft day.
