Why Minnesota Vikings Will Win the NFC Wild Card
The Giants had better bring the points.
It’s a good New York offense that’s able to keep things moving, cranks up the first downs, and can roll in a variety of ways. It doesn’t throw a lot of interceptions and the ground game has been great, but that hasn’t always translated into points.
This went from being a “find a way” team to not being able to quite keep up. The O was able to put up 38 on Indianapolis a few weeks ago, and that was the only time it was able to push past 27 points all year..
They’re not going to get stuffed – especially against this Viking defense – and they’ll bring at least 20 to the table, but that’s not going to do it if the Minnesota offense gets rolling.
After the last few weeks of rough moments, the Vikings have to get up fast. They have to get Justin Jefferson involved more – no matter what – Dalvin Cook has to be good on first downs, and overall, things just have to click a bit better. They can’t let the Giants take the early narrative.
The Giant defensive front will give up rushing yards, and Minnesota has to take them right away.
Make New York rally. Jones has the ability and weapons to do it, but it’s going to take at least 24 to pull this off because …
