The Brooklyn Nets visited the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday and lost 115-106. Brooklyn is now 8-10 after losing to a Sixers team with Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey.
Nets star Ben Simmons had 11 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists in his return to Philadelphia. He was booed as expected, but the volume seemed to be less than anticipated. Kyrie Irving scored 23 points while Durant scored 20 points which ended his streak of games with at least 25 points at 17.
Tobias Harris scored 24 points despite dealing with a hip issue coming into the game and an ankle injury during the game. De’Anthony Melton had 22 points on some impressive long-range shooting while Paul Reed had 19 points off the bench in one of the impactful performances of his career.
Tuesday’s game came down to the Nets being unable to defend the three-point as Philadelphia shot 16-of-32 on 3-pointers, or rebound the basketball (the Sixers had 20 offensive rebounds). Brooklyn could use some size in its frontcourt, but until then, here are the Nets player grades:
