With the Brooklyn Nets’ 2019-20 at an end, it’s time to look back at the good and the bad from the season in preparation for 2020-21.

The 2020-21 Brooklyn Nets are going to look much different from the 2019-20 team with Kevin Durant returning to the floor, Kyrie Irving being his No. 2 and Steve Nash being the rookie who’ll run the show.

But that doesn’t mean — for all the weird things the franchise experienced — 2019-20 was a throwaway year for Brooklyn.

Nets Wire is looking at the good and bad from 2019-20 nd handing out some end of the season grades. Time to assess the only superstar in Brooklyn who logged time in 2019-20:

Kyrie Irving

STATS: 27.4 PPG | 39.4 3PT% | 6.4 APG

When it comes to putting on a show, few can match Irving. He scored 50 in his first game with the Nets, later topped that mark (54) and scored 45 in another contest.

Irving also had a pair of double-doubles and a triple-double this year.

Unfortunately, the Nets only went 8-12 with Irving in the lineup this season. That’ll undoubtedly change heading forward, especially with Kevin Durant’s return to the floor.

This season was a good sampler for Nets fans. But everyone should expect Irving’s play on the court to translate to wins above all else.

GRADE: B+
