NBA predictions: How long can the Bulls, Warriors and Jazz remain undefeated?

Projecting when each undefeated NBA team will finally lose.

We’re exactly one week into the 2021-22 NBA season, and there is already a ton to talk about. The rookies are off to a fast start, nine of the 12 western conference teams are below .500, the two teams that entered the season with the best championship odds (Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets) have looked unspectacular, and only the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz remain unbeaten.

No team in NBA history has ever gone 82-0, but there have been some long winning streaks to start the season. The 2002-03 Dallas Mavericks and 1957-58 Boston Celtics began their seasons 14-0, the 1948-49 Washington Capitols and 1993-94 Houston Rockets reached 15 wins before their first loss, and, of course, the 2015-16 Warriors hit a remarkable 24-0 beginning. It’s unlikely that either of these numbers is touched this year, but there’s always a chance. With that, let’s take a look at the remaining schedule of the three undefeated teams and predict when the first loss could come.
