Four-star running back Jerrick Gibson is taking an official visit to the Georgia Bulldogs from June 2-4. Gibson is a member of the class of 2024 and is the second-ranked player at his position.
Kirby Smart and Georgia are looking to add a second commitment from a running back in addition to speedster Dwight Phillips Jr. The Bulldogs currently have the nation’s top-ranked class of 2024 and 2025.
Gibson, who is ranked as the No. 35 recruit in the 2024 recruiting cycle, plays high school football at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. IMG Academy is arguably the best high school football program in the country.
The 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back considers Georgia, Florida, Texas, Miami, and Tennessee to be his top five schools. The IMG Academy star is currently favored to commit to the Texas Longhorns, per 247Sports.
Georgia running backs coach Dell McGee offered Gibson a scholarship back in March 2022.
On film, Gibson shows impressive burst and agility. The speed running back is a threat in the receiving game. Gibson frequently avoids nearby tacklers with his cutting, speed, and acceleration. Could he be the next great running back to play at the University of Georgia?
