Morgahn Fingall named SEC Offensive Player of the Week

Lady Vols’ Morgahn Fingall named SEC Offensive Player of the Week.

Tennessee graduate student and right side player Morgahn Fingall was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week when the conference announced its weekly awards Monday.

Fingall was named the league’s offensive player of the week for the fourth time this season. The Lady Vols, who enter this week’s NCAA Tournament following one of its best regular-seasons in program history, had six players honored with a total of 23 SEC weekly awards.

Last week, Fingall finished with 6.50 points and 6.00 kills per set, leading the SEC in both categories. She also posted a .522 hitting percentage as she totaled more than twice as many attacks of any SEC player.

Fingall opened the week by totaling 20 kills against Mississippi State and posted her fifth double-double against of the season against the Bulldogs.

In the season finale at South Carolina, Fingall hit .467 and finished the match with 16 kills, four digs and two blocks.
