Capes aren’t easy to come by in Minecraft, at least, not without the use of Minecraft mods. These unique cosmetic items are usually only given out to a lucky few for events or limited occasions. In the past, they’ve been given out to Minecon attendees, Mojang employees, or even bespoke ones for specific creators/prominent community members.
One such occasion was recently announced by Mojang where lots of people would be getting their hands on a cape. However, the announcement was quickly removed and fans were left scratching their heads as to whether this cape is just a myth.
