The Detroit Lions left football fans scratching their heads after selecting former Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs No. 12 overall in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft.
Gibbs was the second running back selected in the first round, which many expected. However, what caught fans and analysts by surprise is how early he was picked.
Most mock drafts projected Gibbs to be selected in the late 20s, some even had him in the early part of the second round. Instead, Gibbs is drafted in the top-15 picks.
Fans of the Lions and football fans in general quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Gibbs at No. 12.
