Thursday night’s game between the Saints and Jaguars was a frustrating evening all around for New Orleans. And one play in particular summed up how the night went for Derek Carr’s offense.
On a third-down play in the fourth quarter with the Saints down eight points, Carr tried to air a pass out to wide receiver Chris Olave. The pass, though, was nowhere close and sailed out of bounds to bring up fourth down. But when the cameras panned back at Carr, the Saints quarterback was furious.
Without even hearing Carr, it seemed like he was upset at Olave for not running through the whole route. And mic’d-up footage from the Jaguars would confirm that this week.
Oh boy… #Saints QB Derek Carr was caught on Mic'd Up during the #Jaguars game screaming at Chris Olave in that viral clip.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? RUN!"
The Jags YT account had Mic'd Up Travon Walker and it caught Carr during his tirade.

Carr could be heard shouting at Olave, “What are you doing?! Run!”
And while it’s not out of the ordinary for quarterbacks to get on their receivers like that — Tom Brady was known to be a tough leader — it was odd to see Carr get so upset at Olave over an incompletion he never had a chance of catching. That pass was nowhere close to staying in bounds, so even if Olave ran through the route, the result would have stayed the same.
