The latest AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports is live and thanks to a loss from Oklahoma, the Spartans were able to move up one spot to No. 8 following their win over Maryland.

The Spartans should still control their College Football Playoff destiny with upcoming match-ups against No. 4 Ohio State and Penn State, who just lost to No. 7 Michigan.
